the tag field on the search page allows you to enter tags to search
when you begin typing, a list of possible tags will be suggested
you can click or use the keyboard to add these to a search
you can also type a complete tag and press Enter
to add it to a search
typing a -
before a tag will prevent any files with that tag from being returned in your search
tags that have been added to a search will appear above the tag field
you can take any of these tags out of the potential search by clicking on them (as indicated by the x
next to them
you can also add tags to the current search from the tags this page
list by clicking the +
next to them, or you can add their negation by clicking the -
next to them
you can also just click any tag in the tags this page to search for that tag alone
when you're satisfied with all the tags in the potential search, pressing enter when there's nothing in the tag field or clicking the search button will submit the search
if there's text in the tag field and you click the search button then the text will be converted and the search will be submitted immediately

preferences
there is a preferences link on the search page that allows visitors to set various client-side preferences
Site theme
changes the color and appearance of the site
there are many premade themes included, but you can easily create your own theme as laid out in the customization help page
Filtered tags
, Hide filtered tags completely
, and Preview filtered tags
all allow visitors to control the visibility of unwanted content
when Hide filtered tags completely
is unchecked, files with a visitor's filtered tags will still be returned in searches but their thumbnails will be covered with a warning triangle
when Preview filtered tags
is checked, hovering over thumbnails of filtered files will remove the warning triangle allowing visitors to see the actual thumbnail
when Hide filtered tags completely
is checked, files with a visitor's filtered tags will always be omitted from search results (without having to manually add their tag negations every time)
when Jumbo thumbnails
is checked, the size of thumbnails is increased
Uncropped thumbnails
controls whether the entire thumbnail for each file is made visible, or cropped by scaling them until they fill their entire square in the search results grid
Fit files vertically
controls whether images on the view page will be scaled to fit the entire image in the window or not
Unblur R-18
controls whether thumbnails of files tagged with #r18 will be displayed the same as other thumbnails (but with a small R-18 indicator), or are blurred and must be hovered to preview them
